Born in 1930 in Nurnberg. Albrecht Brinkmann graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in
Nurnberg under the guidance of Prof. Stahl. At the age of 22 under the tutelage
of Prof. Herman Von Kasper in Munchen, he was influenced by "Munchen-Schule"
romanticism.
In 1952, he began solo showings of his works in Hamburg. In 1954, he held his
first international exhibit in Amsterdam. Dutch critics found a touch of
the Flemish School "brushstroke" with a definite influence of Durer.
Munchen art critics define his realistic landscapes as "romantic and
mystic."
During an solo exhibit in Vienna in 1965, Austrian President Dr. Adolf Scharf
purchased one of Brinkmann's paintings for his private collection.
By 1973, art dealers in the U.S.A. began buying Brinkmann's paintings.
